Local Police conducts successful raids in Delhi and seizes fake & infringed material.
TVS Motor Company, a leading manufacturer of two-wheelers and three-wheelers in the world has initiated a Brand Protection Program to overcome the bane of spare parts counterfeiting. The Company, in collaboration with police officers of Karol Bagh Police Station and DIU Daryaganj, Central District, Delhi recently conducted successful raid actions on two locations situated at Karol Bagh and seized counterfeit TVS spare parts worth Rs.43,500/- like filter air comp air cleaner, complete cable assy, brake shoe set, filter comp. eng. oil, etc. and MRP stickers, packing pouches, outer boxes along with sealing machine. Legal action has been initiated against the counterfeiters under sections 103 & 104 of Trademarks Act.
This Brand Protection Program will guarantee the distribution and availability of genuine parts to the consumer through TVS Motor Company’s 4000 touch points. As a precautionary measure, the Company has appointed over 100 Authorized Parts Stockiest (APS) to supply genuine parts in the retail market across every town/village in the country. It also conducts outreach programs at regular intervals for the benefit of private garage mechanics and customers to help them determine the authenticity of products.
