SNORT held a musical event to raise funds for flood victims of Kerala
Hyderabad, 2nd September 2018: The southern Indian state of Kerala has been hit with what can only be termed as the worst floods in over a century, wherein at least 370 people have died and over 800,000 people have been displaced. In these moments of despair and destruction, people from different walks of life have come together to help the victims, in whichever way they can.
As nature played havoc with Kerala, SNORT has extended a hand to the flood victims by way of organizing a charity event on 2nd September 2018 in Hyderabad to raise funds for people facing a difficult time in Kerala. An evening where more than 25 DJs from Hyderabad lined up and performed exclusively for the crowd.
Playing nine hours of non-stop music, the list included the topmost DJs from the city – Anant, Alex Light, Huzefa, Kan – I, Kay, Kim, Manish, Meher, Nad, Neil, Nigel, Phalgun, Piyush Bajaj, Prithvi, Rahul, Rishabh, Sidde Boy, Srinivas, Sriker, Tatsama, Vicky, VAMC, Zeetwo. All the ticket sales along with the profit were donated to Kerala CM Relief Funds. The owner, Mr. Snort Surya, shares details of the initiative, “The main motive of this event was to help our country people who are in need because I believe everyone has to do their own part. We generated an amount of Rs.3,00,000/- and donated to help flood victims in Kerala. Apart from this event, we have been helping the flood victims by way of providing essential commodities like water bottles, food, bed sheets, etc. We are planning more such events this month and are open for funds. ”
About Snort:
SNORT is a new nightclub in the city with private cabanas that makes for a perfect outing with friends or a special someone. Snort gives you the feel of a short, relaxing and romantic getaway without even traveling much. An open place with a seating of 300 and a DJ or a live band playing music throughout the evening. Owned by Mr. Snort Surya, the place is located in Hitex right opposite to Meenakshi Sky Lounge.
